Help Haiti, ignore our problems…

With that Headline… don’t take it the wrong way. I fully understand why we are helping them, they just had one hell of a Disaster… However, What I do not understand… is there are millions of people donating to help Haiti out… but no where near that many help with the problems we have right here in America!

We have many many many Homeless in this country, we have many families who need help during this economic failure of CHANGE, We have inner city youth who are going down the wrong path, etc.

ALL of which could be helped by some degree, with just 1/2 of the donations we are giving Haiti right now!

Am I the only one who fails to see the logic in helping another country, but ignoring our own? Youtube People, News Outlets, Websites, Commercials, EVERYONE is jumping on this “Help Haiti” train which I cannot fully understand. WHY can’t these same People/Organizations/Media push for the same thing here at home?

My only guess… is people can only feel good about themselves by helping another country, and ignoring our own. Again… I Understand and agree that we should lend a helping hand to Haiti… But… Why can’t we extend that same offer to the problems we have here at home.

If someone can fully explain that to me, and make sense, then I will retract this entire statement.

I can’t wait… I’ve been wanting my car back for too long.

I hope that this year turns out better then last… But with Big O in office, and the Majority of the House controlled by the D’s…. it’s not looking good

wow… time is flying…

I can’t believe its been so long since I posted. Its been quite the ratrace around here for
Christmas coming up. I Opted to put off repairing my engine in order to have a nice
Christmas this year… But no worries, I should be able to start the repairs on Calista
In Feb. 2010.

I am, however, very happy. I got Ubuntu 9.10 up and running, And last time I tried running Linux,
Ventrilo did not like Wine at all. However, It is up and running, there are some small issues, but nothing
I can’t get used to. Also, World of Warcraft runs Beautifully!

Expect a Nice post after Christmas!

It’s been too long

It has been awhile since I have updated, I think its about time don’t you?
As my previous post stated, I got an iPhone 3GS, and I love it. I no longer run out of ram, or have slowdown
with jailbreak/heavy theme anymore.

I started working with the type of iPhone themes which use Catagorys to make a nice and sleek look.
Here is my current theme, which I took one and modified:

Talking about World of Warcraft… I, and my guild, UNITY, got Realm First kill of Algalon the Observer 25man

Other then that, not much else has been happening.

Thats it for now, Hopefully I can keep updateing more often.

iPhone 3G Stolen… Hello new iPhone 3GS

Yesterday… My iPhone was stolen. But that, in turn, caused me to get the new iPhone 3GS… And after loving the 3G… The 3GS is just soo much of an improvement. The speed and reaction of the 3GS is so much better. I am actualy writing this post from my new phone… And it can actualy keep up with my typing speed… Where as the 3G just did not. The camera and video are also much better (3G had video recording if you jailbroken your phone)

One thing the 3g did after it was jailbroken… Is there was very noticeable lag of applications… Navigating the screen, etc. However, the 3GS… Where their is some noticeable lag…. Is no where near as bad as the 3g.

I am almost happy that my phone got stolen or I might not have ever gotten the 3GS and enjoyed the very noticeable increase in speed, reliablity, and reaction time that the 3GS offers.

Keep moving in the right direction apple…. Just one thing though… Tell AT&T to quit ripping off your users! :)

Calista Needs a new Head Gasket

Well, its been awhile since I have posted. I have been having an Overheating issue with Calista (my ‘96 Polo Green SVX LSi)
Lately, and After doing some testing, Buying a Block Tester, and testing it 3 times, I found I do have a Compression leak.

The bad part is… I have never done this much work with an Engine before… Let alone pulled an Engine out myself.

I have decided, I will plan to take 5 days off, do to this Slowly and Correctly. This will be one hell of a learning Experience for me,
and I will learn more about the SVX, which is never a bad thing!

Wish me luck… I know I am going to need it!

P.S. Expect a Long post, and lots of pictures when I get this done!

Windows 7

Well, I’ve been trying Windows 7 that Microsoft released to the public. So far… I have to say… I am impressed!

The Speed of it is amazing, It has all the fancy features of vista, but the quickness of Win2k.
I am very very happy with it, and I feel Microsoft is finally
going in the direction they need to go.
I can’t wait to goto 4gb of ram, it already flys on 2gb, but 4gb, should be amazing!

Stupid News Rant…..

Yearbook Picture Leaves Girl’s Private Parts Exposed
Are you kidding me?

Girl: “I Started Crying, I started Freaking out, I didn’t know what I was going to do because it was my Junior year, its so important, And I didn’t think I could go back to school knowing everyone knew, and has seen the picture” Mom: “…And as a mom, I wasn’t going to make her”

Now, Time for some Education of my own… Ms. Mom….
Why is it, you never ONCE, said you were embarrassed that your DAUGHTER of SIXTEEN, went to SCHOOL, without any PANTIES on?
what in the HELL is wrong with you? You just wanted the picture removed so your daughter isn’t embarrassed… But by talking to the media you
now have that picture spreading around the internet, which in turn, spreads the picture around the world, and Archives that Picture for AGES?????

you, Ms. Mom, make no since in your Logic… wait…. you have no logic… But… the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
If you look at that Interview, you will see BOTH the Mother and the girl, wearing Low-Cut shorts. Now…. I’m sorry, but you
are not making me, or anyone else with a brain, take you seriously.

The Principle of the school even advised you not to talk to the media, but, by doing so, you have now made your daughters pootytang, a viral video.
I wonder how many kids from that school scanned and uploaded this picture because of your interview.

Lets not forget the fact, that your SIXTEEN year old Daughter, went to school, without any panties on… which is what allowed this to happen in the first place!
She didn’t want any Pantie lines showing? Give me a break. Your daughter is as clueless as you are for not teaching her any better.

I pity you, and worse of all, I pity your daughter. By your actions, #1, you never taught her simple COMMON SINCE, and #2 you have embarrassed her wherever she goes. I have seen the picture, her face is all over the internet, Comments on youtube videos of users saying “e-mail me for a copy”

Next time Ms. Mom, think about raising your kids right… and this… would have never have happened.

Ulduar is amazing, Life is going well, but COULD be alittle better…..

The Newest Raid Instance of World of Warcraft, Ulduar, is amazing. The Stratagies required for boss kills is Refreshing after Naxx was such a letdown in terms of Difficulty. It reminds me alot of the SSC/TK/Hyjal/BT Days of BC.

I am learning more and more everyday of how amazing Jennifer realy is. She still finds ways of reminding me that. I don’t even want to think of where I would be without her.

Now…. if I can just get the Damned Central A/C to work better in the new office, so it doesn’t Avg an 80+F Temps all day!

Interesting last 2 weeks….

Work has been insane. On days we expect it to be slow, we are so bussy we can’t see stright… and then on days we expect it to be bussy, its slower then the comcast turtles!

Other then that, Life is good. I already have the first 3 payments on my loan set aside, so I dont have to worry about it for awhile. Next goal is to upgrade the Audio system of the new 96 Polo. I dont want that “So Much Boom your ears bleed” sound, just overall upgraded from stock. (that, and the old cd player just refuses to play 90% of the music cd’s I burn)
